Happy Self Love Saturday!

Today I want to talk to you guys about the power of “picking your battles”. I’ll admit that I am still learning when and how to pick my battles, instead of getting defensive, taking things personal and being quick to fight but my self love journey has been a big help for that. I was inspired to do this video from reading a quote that said,

“Arguing with people whose intentions are not to understand you, only to prove themselves right. You do not owe it to anybody to carry on a conversation that is only serving the ego, but you do owe it to yourself to step out of the inevitable frustration and self-doubt of interacting with people who don’t listen to understand, but to respond; who don’t speak to be heard, but to defend.” 

This quote put a lot of things into perspective for me because recently I’ve had to deal with a few people that were arguing with me for the sake of arguing and not to understand me. I had to step back and understand what was happening and why it wasn’t worth me putting my effort into and instead pick my battles wisely.
