(New Video Post) “It Gets Better” [Vlog] #SelfLoveSaturday

Happy Self Love Saturday!

I struggle with depression. I wish with everything in me that I didn’t and that I was capable of not falling into the dark hole that so quickly swallows me up, but somehow every now and then I mis-step in a direction that I didn’t intend to and it takes me a long time to find my way out….but I’m trying.

Today’s video is to encourage anyone who feels alone in the dark, that it will eventually get better but we’re going to have to work at it.

Andrea, thank you for speaking your truth! I love all of your videos and I look forward to your posts. You mentioned that you do it to hold yourself accountable but I don’t think you realize the ways in which you enlighten and empower others in the process with your bravery and your insights. I’ve had a rough year as well – I sought counselling for the first time – which was a big step for me – but I also found that my depression comes in waves and is often swept under the rug by myself and others because I can appear normal and functional. Thank you for reminding me that self-love is a journey and that I need to be patient with myself on the way.

    Much love!

    – Michelle

(Also, random side note – if your ever in Toronto can you do a meet up? Im sure there are a bunch of people would love to meet you in person – myself included 🙂

Thank you! And yes definitely “depression” comes in waves, sometimes you can feel fine and then one situation can throw you off…but at least you’re aware and now you can work on it. That’s all I try to do.

Definitely try to do a meet up next time I’m there! 🙂
